The Hattiloo in the Park series is a free, hour-and-a-half long montage-performance that includes dance, music, and plays ranging in genre from Shakespeare's Macbeth to August Wilson's Fences. Each year's performances are staged in four Memphis parks, each one selected to represent the entire city. One park is visited each Saturday in September, from noon until 3p.m. Our goal is to give more people a first-hand introduction to the cultural relevance of theatre and to promote a sense of community.
