The New Site
The new Hattiloo Theatre is being built from the ground up, on the northwest corner of Monroe and Cooper. The building, designed by Archamania, will be approximately 12,000 square feet. Hattiloo plans to break ground in the first quarter of 2013 and open in the second quarter of 2014.
The New Layout
The new Hattiloo Theatre’s Mainstage will seat 150 - 175 and will be able to change formation from one play to the next. The Black Box theatre will seat 65. The lobby will seat up to 110 guests at round banquet tables. The outdoor courtyard will accommodate up to 80. The theatre’s backstage will have dressing rooms, showers, and a green-room. There will also be three 1-man offices, an open office space, a multiuse room, and rehearsal space.
The New Hattiloo
Imagine it, if you can. Memphis: 2015. You enter the New Hattiloo, take your seat, and notice that the audience has doubled. By reading your playbill, you learn that Camp Awareness is now a year-round program helping youth develop creative skills that will help them excel throughout their lives. The house lights dim and you prepare yourself for a powerful experience. If you Help Raise the Curtain, you will ensure that all people in our community have access to rich, diverse and courageous theatre.
Please make a gift to the Campaign for the New Hattiloo Theatre.
Be a part of Hattiloo’s future. Our naming opportunities, perfect for gift giving, memorializing a friend or loved-one, or honoring a high school graduating class, business, civic organization, family or sorority/fraternity, start at only $150.
Gifts of any amount are also gratefully accepted and will help us reach our goal.
